Workplace Designation Recognition Event

Smart Commute Workplace Designation Program

Efforts to reduce drive alone commuting are central to the success of the overall Smart Commute program and it is important to recognize this. The Smart Commute Workplace Designation Program showcases the success of the Smart Commute program based on investment, participation and results.

The Workplace Designation Program has four levels of achievement: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. These designations reflect a greater degree of program investment and success. The designations are based on a wide range of factors. Points are awarded to workplaces for participating in campaigns, undertaking surveys, providing carpool parking, and much, much more. Once you have your designation, let your local Smart Commute office know and they will provide you with a Designation Certificate to display with pride! If, after a year or more of awesome Smart Commute efforts, you think you deserve a higher designation, you can reassess yourself and let your local Smart Commute office know if you’ve earned the points to move to the next level. Your local Smart Commute office can of course help you complete your scorecard, and work with you to identify ways of moving up to the designation level – we love workplaces who want to Go for Gold (and maybe even Platinum!).
