Wear Yellow Day

Register your school today!

Wear Yellow Day (WYD) is a celebration and awareness raising event about active and sustainable school travel. Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to wear yellow; and to walk or wheel to and from school. Not only is this a great way to be physically active, it also helps decrease our carbon footprint.

Last school year, nearly 10,000 Hamilton students participated in WYD events. Let’s try to beat this number! So be sure to register your school. This year, there’s added incentives to participate in WYD events, thanks to funding from the Ontario Government:

  • Registered Schools will receive free stickers and a reusable trip tracker poster
  • Schools will receive a participation certificate
  • Participating schools will be put into a draw for prizes
