10th Anniversary Bike to Work Day!

B2W Day 2016_Group photoOn Monday, May 30, Smart Commute Central York hosted it’s 10th Anniversary Bike to Work Day, encouraging commuters to get active, save money and help reduce traffic congestion by leaving their cars at home and try biking instead. Over 200 cyclists rode through Newmarket Riverwalk Commons on their way to work.

Upon arrival, participants were greeted with a free t-shirt and breakfast, provided by The Pickle Barrel.  Cyclists had the opportunity to test drive a BionX powered e-bike, practice putting their bike on a YRT bus bike rack and enjoyed a free mini massage.

Cyclists enjoyed breakfast compliments of the Pickle Barrel and coffee provided by Starbucks.

BionX brought several e-bikes for cyclists to test ride.
