As an employee at a participating Smart Commute workplace, you may be eligible for Emergency Ride Home (ERH) reimbursement. If you have an unforeseen emergency on any day you use a sustainable method to commute to work, you can request reimbursement of up to $75 for your transportation costs. Ensure you retain all emergency transportation receipt(s).
Getting reimbursed is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Review the ERH Terms and Conditions to see if your request is eligible.
- Download the Emergency Ride Home Reimbursement Form. Fill out required fields.
- Email the ERH form and a copy of your receipts (recommended) to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: “ERH Reimbursement Request” OR mail a hard copy of the form and receipt(s) to: Smart Commute Central York

Please allow 4 to 6 weeks to receive reimbursement by cheque.
We recommend keeping a copy of receipt(s) for your records.
