Smart Commute Awards 2015

What a memorable night it was at the 9th annual Smart Commute Awards on November 19, 2015. The historic St. Lawrence Hall in Toronto made for a classy back drop for an evening focused on celebrating all things Smart Commute. Invited guests included staff from 13 Smart Commute offices/Transportation Management Associations across the region, representatives from member workplaces and leaders in Active and Sustainable School Travel.

Awards were presented to six Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area workplaces for their exceptional achievements in promoting smart travel options such as walking, cycling, transit, carpooling and teleworking. These awards recognize outstanding commitment, leadership, innovation and results from the Smart Commute network which currently has 325 member workplaces comprising 706,000 employees.

A special feature this year was the Pan Am Preparedness Award presented by Andrew Posluns from the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario.
