May 29 – June 30 2017
Bike Month is your chance to try this healthy and sustainable commuting option.
Many of our daily trips are well within cycling distance (0-5km). Trips taken by bike save you the cost of transit, gas, parking, have zero impact on air quality and burn calories with every pedal forward.
New to biking? Check out our cycling tips and resources or download your local cyclist’s handbook, which includes safety tips, road etiquette and more:
Bike to Work Day: May 29 2017
Heading into work and want to give cycling a chance? Take part in Bike to Work Day on May 29. Find a local event and ride together with your community and colleagues to work, or take part in the Toronto Group Commute and Pancake Breakfast at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.
Local events are happing across the GTHA – find yours by visiting BikeMonth.ca
Looking to host an event at your workplace? Get in touch with us today and see how we can help.
Combine bikes with transit
If you can’t cycle the whole trip, try combining bikes and transit. All buses are equipped with bike racks and most GO and TTC stations have bike shelters on site or nearby.
