Community Initiatives

To support sustainable station access to GO Transit rail stations, the Metrolinx Smart Commute team has introduced carpoolelectric vehicle charging, and car share spaces at GO stations, and is piloting GO Transit schedule information screens in downtown Toronto properties.

Smart Commute also works with transportation demand management (TDM) experts from the region’s municipalities to support initiatives related to TDM, land -use and development policy, transit, walking and cycling. The GTHA TDM Coordinating Committee is an important component of this collaborative role.
